The title “Yeye Oge” originates from the Yoruba tribe, the roots of Aso-oke itself. In Yoruba culture, “Yeye” is an honourary accolade for a female chief, leader, or woman in authority while “Oge” literally translates to style.
“Yeye Oge” is thus a woman of such great style that she’s become an authority on the topic, capturing the essence of empowerment and sophistication.
The collection is inspired by the rich legacy of the Aso-Oke fabric and the timeless allure of tradition.
