Ready to wear and bespoke womenswear brand; Nkadumeje unveils timeless intricate and alluring silhouettes for new ready-to-wear collection; ‘Aru Nwanyi’.

Aru Nwanyi means ‘body of a woman’. The collection employs the Nkadumeje ethos of distinct aesthetic, craftsmanship, expert fabric manipulations, and attention to detail. All evident in the delicately feminine yet strong work of art that the collection is.

‘Aru Nwanyi’ is inspired by the female form. The beauty of how she moves and gracefully carries herself, basking in the knowledge that she was intentionally created by Olisa with adorning curves, striking features and most importantly, a voice.  

For this collection, I have used fabrics to tell a story.  You will find textures like lace, velvet, soft chiffon and silk which are alluring and form flattering. Our team of artisans and tailors have employed a lot of handmaking techniques in the custom fabrications, embellishments and careful tailoring. The collection is truly a labour of love and designed to allow women embrace femininity and our unique frames without having to compromise on comfort, whilst still showing up as a work of art in every single piece Nkadumeje Emekekwue, the creative director shares.
