Nitémi takes on intricately feminine details with new collection; ‘Handwork’.
The stunning collection pays homage to womanhood with every detail on each piece from the collection. Nitémi, Nigerian slow fashion brand unveils the collection as a “tactile ode to womanhood, heritage, and the enduring art of making”.
Rooted in the philosophy that true beauty is built, not bought, Handwork leans into softness as strength. Sculptural sleeves, asymmetrical hems, and delicate gathers take shape in calming hues — burnt clay, buttercream, chalk white, and lavender. These tones feel both grounded and dreamlike, anchoring the collection on earth while hinting at something more ethereal.
This collection is my love letter to craft — to the people behind the seams, and to the women who show up with grace and quiet power. I wanted each look to feel like a ritual. Not performative, but sacred. Like a second skin you choose for yourself; says Temilayo Osude, the founder and creative director of Nitémi
The collection is crafted in Lagos by local artisans and designed with intention reflecting Nitemi’s core values.
Technique & Texture: Each stitch is intentional; every pleat placed with care.
Cultural Memory: Designs pay quiet homage to Nigerian femininity — women who move with presence and dress with pride.
Modern Ritual: These are pieces meant for the intimate every day — a dinner with friends, a gallery opening, a walk at dusk.
Built for the woman who finds strength in stillness and beauty in intention, this collection doesn’t seek applause — it seeks alignment. It’s fashion as a memory. Fashion as feeling. Fashion as ceremony.
