Aspirin for dandruff is known globally as a way to treat stubborn dandruff and we’ve seen testimonies online but is this something you’re willing to try out?
Dandruff can be embarrassing and we mean that with all seriousness, no one wants anybody’s flaky business flying in their faces, Ok maybe a tad dramatic but no one wants to see the flakes on your shirts/tops either for real.

Don’t get it twisted a lot of factors cause scalp dryness from Psoriasis to eczema, shampooing too often (stripping the scalp of oils), not cleaning/scrubbing properly, sensitivity to hair care products and lifestyle habits like not drinking enough water and in some cases; smoking! All of these can cause dandruff.
Aspirin has a lot of beauty uses and tackling dandruff is a raved one and since we reckon you’ve got nothing to lose; it comes cheap and raved as effective, do give it a try maybe?
Aspirin contains Salicylic acid that is great for exfoliating and with a flaky scalp it helps exfoliate the dead/dry skin and sebum that’s a common feature of dandruff.

If you want to try, these are the super-easy steps to follow:
- Crush 4-6 aspirin tablets into a clean bowl
- Mix the crushed aspirin powder with a little shampoo and mix
- Dampen your hair and massage the paste gently into the scalp
- Leave the paste in the hair for 5-7 minutes
- Rinse your hair and wash again with a mild shampoo
