Soho Restaurant Lagos Continental Hotel relaunches!

Soho Restaurant was relaunched last weekend and I attended the evening event for fashionandco, an invitation I accepted so I could give you guys the review here. Let me first tell you a little bit about the Soho Restaurant.

Soho Restaurant Lagos Continental Hotel

Soho Restaurant is popularly known as the signature Chinese restaurant for the Lagos Continental Hotel. They have amazing Chinese cuisine made with original ingredients and flavours. One great thing about the restaurant is that they offer a very broad menu with not just Chinese delicacies that include stir-fried prawns, dim sum, Chinese spring rolls, and wonton Chinese dishes, but also other continental and intercontinental delicacies such as fried rice and seafood okro, meats, Chicken in Black Beans Sauce, etc. A range of Chinese teas and cocktails that go well with the food can also be found on the menu.

Now back to the main event: the relaunch was on the 4th of December, 2022. The event can be described as a simple yet classy one, and we, the guests, were treated to a fantastic time. Karl Hala, the General Manager of Soho Restaurant gave his opening speech at the start of the event and introduced the Master Chef, Chef Chua to the audience.

The renowned Chef Chua is the Master Chef in Soho Restaurant’s kitchen and is responsible for all the restaurant’s delicacies.

I experienced an exquisite dining experience at the relaunch. We were first presented with beautifully written menus that listed the 4 courses that were to be served. The dishes listed on the menu were enough to make us salivate in anticipation of the delights to come.

For starters, we were served Chill Soho Abalone on Ice, Crispy Phoenix Tart, and Steamed Beautiful Seafood with Superior Oyster Sauce. These starters increased everyone’s appetite and prepared us for the main course.

Just before the main course, a flavorful soup called Double Boil Duck Tonic Soup with Chinese Herbal was served to keep us relaxed and open our palate in preparation for the main course.

The main course finally came, and it was worth the wait. The first course was braised eight treasure chicken, followed by stir-fried wild tiger prawns with asparagus. Just like the starters and the soups, the meal was very well prepared, mouth-watering, and delicious.

The last and concluding part of the meal was the dessert, which was Asian Delight Ice Cream with Mix Fruity. This was my personal favourite, It was delicious and the best way to end the night.

The Soho relaunch menu was well thought out, and the meals served were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Master Chef Chua paid great attention to every detail, from the preparation of the food to the presentation.

I will be visiting the restaurant again and this time, I will be going with a friend. You should do the same! Trust me.
