Kai Collective’s new collection ‘Irun Didi’ is mindblowing!
This newly minted collection from Kai Collective features daring accents on form-fitting pieces that will leave your jaws on the floor (no kidding)!
‘Irun Didi’, loosely translated as ‘Woven Hair’ in Yoruba, features standout pieces with exaggerated plaited/woven statement cutouts in strategic places on the collection’s sultry dresses.
“Following our Irun print, we dove deeper into the exploration of ‘Irun’ (hair in Yoruba) using an exaggerated braid to depict the emphasis we place on hair as women, highlighting specifically the highly politicised yet always celebrated concept of hair as a Black woman” Kai Collective’s creative director Fisayo Longe shares about the collection.
The pieces, as usual, stand out. This womenswear label is definitely on to something, and we love it.
Which colours are you going to wear for the holidays?
