The future of fashion for the next decade and many more begins now. It begins with the emergence of a community of rising talents across the continent, as well as a commitment from our ecosystem to adopt a functional fashion system that provides environmental, societal, and economic solutions that benefit all.
Lagos Fashion Week is committed to facilitating new conversations and exchanges of ideas about sustainability in fashion in Nigeria and throughout Africa. This year, LFW partnered with Fru Girls and PopSwap-a new digital community for the Global Fashion Exchange-to host an inaugural digitally-enabled Swap Shop experience in Lagos from October 28th-30th. Lagos Fashion Week will facilitate the exchange of pre-owned items through swapping, sharing, donating, and resale, setting an example in terms of sustainable fashion and recycling.
