Toju Foyeh’s Irawo Collection features hand-beaded aso-oke and embellished detailing that scream modern elegance. According to TF, the bridal collection is “100% African, 100% Aso Oke, Made in Nigeria, 100% hand-beading” implying that a lot of effort went into creating this collection (which is pretty obvious).
In a release, the brand shares, “The inspiration for the IRAWO collection is the modernisation of Aso Oke. Focusing largely on hand-beading, this collection shows how versatile and elaborate our local fabric can be. As a modern take on the traditional Geles, this collection introduces Aso Oke headpieces that can stand in place of our traditional Geles.
The final piece of the collection is the matching Aso Oke bags. It solves an old age problem for brides. Brides no longer need to worry about looking for the perfect accessory to match their outfits for their big day.
